05How do I start playing Valhalla?
Open Play, choose Mainnet or Testnet, then follow the in-game prompts to sign in and create or select a Viking. Valhalla is moving to social-sign-in accounts, so some environments may still show legacy setup or migration steps during rollout.
Connect a self-custody wallet only when Valhalla asks you to migrate a legacy account, move assets, or apply FLOKI Tier benefits.
New to the combat system? The Field Guide explains Veras, abilities, runes, and the flow of a turn before you enter a battle.
Which devices, browsers, and controls are supported?
The current game client is built for a desktop or laptop with a modern browser and a precise pointer. Keep your browser updated and use a keyboard and mouse.
Controller input is not currently supported. For a larger view, use the client’s fullscreen control or press F while the game is focused.
What is the difference between Mainnet and Testnet?
Mainnet is the live environment: assets and network actions there are real. Testnet is a separate testing environment where features can change and progress may be reset.
The environments keep separate state. Testnet may offer test-only copies of selected Mainnet balances, but Testnet progress and assets never carry back to Mainnet. Always check the network selector before you play or approve an action.
Do I need FLOKI or other funds to play?
You do not need FLOKI to open Valhalla. FLOKI or xFLOKI held in a separate wallet can provide optional FLOKI Tier benefits when you designate your Valhalla account.
Some legacy account actions may still require a small amount of BNB on opBNB. Follow the current in-game prompt before sending gas funds; Testnet uses test funds.
Valhalla support cannot recommend purchases or provide financial advice. Check every network and transaction detail in your wallet before approving it.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Not yet. The current game client requires a desktop-sized screen, keyboard, and precise pointer. You can still browse the website and Field Guide on mobile.
Accounts & safety
07What is the difference between my Valhalla account and FLOKI wallet?
Your Valhalla account is the social-sign-in identity that holds your Vikings and game progress. Its unique username lets the game and website identify the correct destination without putting an address in a handoff link.
Your FLOKI wallet remains separate. It keeps custody of FLOKI or xFLOKI and can designate which Valhalla account receives its live FLOKI Tier benefits; designation never transfers tokens or grants wallet access.
Legacy ownership and play-wallet links remain available during migration, but they are not the model used for new accounts.
How do I manage a legacy play account?
Legacy links remain visible during the account transition. Connect the legacy holder wallet on the account page to approve or decline an existing request, review linked play wallets, or revoke one you no longer trust.
Compatible new-account builds use social sign-in instead of creating another play-wallet link. If the game offers migration, verify the destination username and address before approving any transfer.
How do I apply my FLOKI Tier to a Valhalla account?
Open the FLOKI Tier page from the signed-in game or account page, connect the wallet that holds your FLOKI or xFLOKI position, and confirm the destination username and address.
The designation grants live tier benefits only. It does not move FLOKI, combine balances, or give the Valhalla account control of the connected wallet. Changing the destination is limited to once every 24 hours.
Which wallet or sign-in providers can I use?
Open the connect dialog to see the providers currently supported for your browser and selected network. The list can change as integrations are added or updated.
If your preferred provider is not shown, it is not currently available in that setup. Do not enter recovery details into another site or extension as a workaround.
Can one Valhalla account have multiple Vikings?
Yes. One Valhalla account can hold more than one Viking. Use My Vikings to view the characters connected to the active account and inspect their Veras and details.
What should I do if I lose account access?
For a social-sign-in Valhalla account, use the sign-in provider’s official recovery process. For a self-custody FLOKI or legacy holder wallet, only that wallet provider’s official recovery method can restore access.
Valhalla support cannot reset a provider account, recover a private key, or recover a Secret Recovery Phrase. Never share recovery credentials with anyone offering to migrate or restore an account.
How can I recognize and avoid scams?
Use the official Valhalla website and the official FLOKI Discord linked from this site. Treat unsolicited direct messages, copied websites, surprise giveaways, and unknown signature requests as suspicious.
Never share your private key or Secret Recovery Phrase. Valhalla and FLOKI team members will never ask for either, and you should never paste them into a support form or chat.
Gameplay
04What are Veras?
Veras are creatures you tame and field in Valhalla’s turn-based battles. Each species has its own playstyle and ability set; an individual Vera’s stats and equipped rune shape how it performs.
Explore the Vera roster to compare their playstyles, abilities, and difficulty before choosing what to master.
How do Vera abilities and runes work?
Each Vera has all four of its species abilities available in battle. Its equipped rune adds that rune’s ability, giving the Vera five available combat abilities in total.
Abilities differ in damage, utility, cost, timing, and targeting. The Field Guide breaks down the shared rules so you can read a matchup before confirming a move.
Which game modes and matchmaking options are available?
Available modes can differ by season and network. The in-game battle hub is the source of truth for the queues, challenges, or encounters active in your current environment.
Matchmaking rules and challenge flows can change with a season or network, so follow the current instructions shown in the battle hub.
Where can I learn the combat rules?
The Field Guide is the fastest route from first turn to informed decisions. It covers the battle loop, stats, types, abilities, runes, status effects, and common combat terms.
Troubleshooting
04The game is stuck loading. What should I try first?
Refresh the page once, close duplicate Valhalla tabs, and confirm that your browser, connected account, and selected network are correct. Temporarily disable extensions that block scripts or wallet connections.
If the issue continues, check the official Discord for a known service issue before changing account settings or reinstalling anything.
Legacy players should not clear Valhalla site data until they have completed the in-game migration or safely backed up any legacy play-wallet credentials.
How can I improve slow or choppy performance?
Use an up-to-date desktop browser, close heavy tabs and applications, and make sure browser hardware acceleration is enabled. A stable wired or strong Wi-Fi connection can also reduce interruptions.
Try fullscreen to remove surrounding page work. If performance changed after an update, capture your browser and system details so the team can reproduce it.
A wallet or account action is stuck. What should I do?
Confirm that the connected wallet, destination Valhalla username, and network match the action, then check your wallet for a request waiting behind the game window. Complete or reject one request before starting another.
If nothing is pending, refresh and reconnect once. Do not repeatedly submit the same action, and never share keys or recovery words with anyone offering to fix it.
How do I report a reproducible bug?
Report it through the official Discord with the selected network, browser and operating system, approximate time, exact steps, expected result, and what happened instead. Add a screenshot or short recording when useful.
For an on-chain issue, include the public transaction hash if one exists. Remove personal information and never include a private key, Secret Recovery Phrase, password, or private support conversation.
Community
03Where can I get help from the community or team?
Use the official FLOKI Discord linked from Valhalla. Share a concise description of the issue and the troubleshooting you have already tried, then allow time for the right community member or moderator to respond.
Support will not ask for your private key or Secret Recovery Phrase and cannot reverse wallet actions. Be cautious of people who contact you privately after you ask for help.
How do I report another player?
Contact moderators through the official Discord and provide the player or Viking name, approximate time, relevant network or mode, and clear evidence. Keep the report factual and avoid posting sensitive information publicly.
