Make the wild Vera catchable

Taming is a battle decision, not a separate minigame. The target's health, status effects, level relationship, and the amulet all feed the attempt.

Lower health improves the chance

Wear the target down before spending the taming action. Lower remaining health improves the chance, but defeating the target removes the opportunity entirely.

The taming action prompts the player to choose a low-health wild Bjorn on the Testnet battle board.
Lower the wild Vera's health without defeating it, then use the amulet when the setup is favorable.Captured in Valhalla 1.12.2

Use control as preparation

Cursed, Drowsy, Exhausted, Poisoned, Snared, and Asleep improve the attempt. Enraged, Hidden, Deflecting, Magma, and Inspired work against it. Use the status-effects reference when a condition is unfamiliar. The strongest setup is often a safe target with low health and a favorable condition already applied.

A miss changes the fight

A failed taming attempt applies Enraged to the target. Plan the next turn before you take the chance: the Vera you fail to tame is immediately more dangerous.

Choose the attempt, not just the target

The amulet is part of the calculation, as is the target's level compared with your team. If the odds feel poor, stabilize the board and improve the setup instead of forcing the attempt.
